Molasses Tank

M & M Molasses, a joint venture between MSF Sugar and Mackay Sugar, awarded EDMS the works to rehabilitate their 3.4ML Molasses Storage Tank located within the Cairns QSL site. This is the second molasses tank rehabilitation project EDMS has taken on at this site and adds to several tank build and rehabilitation projects we have completed across both sugar and resource industries.

The purpose of the works is to extend the tank’s life and includes shell plate stiffening, building up of shell plate horizontal and vertical welded joints, roof plate patch repairs, replacement of vents and reinstatement of tank under floor support.
