A local upholstery business owner expressed concern over availability of a tonneau cover hook which he can use for his vessel covers. This design had originally been tested using PLA plastic, however, these were found to easily break meaning that a superior material was needed. Using EDMS Australia's Advanced Manufacturing Systems, a prototype was developed in less than 24hrs and included the business owner's logo for added personalisation. The Advanced Manufacturing team utilised ONYX with fibreglass rovings for unparalleled strength, producing a cheap, custom product that is capable of handling the in-service conditions.
