EDMS was recently engaged by Crossy's Crane Hire to produce a Lift Plan to assist with the recovery of a 45T All Terrain Mobile Crane, which was lost over the edge of the Gillies Range in Far North Tropical Queensland.

Barron River Towing were the principal contractor for the recovery job and were supported by a bunch of companies including:

The lifted piece mass was very close to the rated capacity of the lift crane, so we stripped the crane back as far as reasonably practical, did some calculations to find the adjusted center of gravity, developed the plan, compiled the plan into a lift drawing and supervised the setup of the rigging and position of the lift.

Between EDMS and Crossy's Crane Hire the lift and recovery of the crane went perfectly to plan.

It was a good feeling once the crane was finally safe and secure on the low loader...another job well done.
